This level 1 course can be booked as an indoor track or as an outdoor track. It provides you with a first solid basis in modern lighting technologies, standards (norms) and computer based planning (layouts).

Your approach

With the Academy's three-day Basic Certificate in Lighting Planning, you'll acquire solid knowledge of professional lighting and its planning, both manually and on the computer. This certificate is the first step on your path to becoming a certified lighting planner.This course provides a solid foundation for your lighting skills in a professional work environment.

The basic certificate is offered separately for both indoor and outdoor lighting. Our didactic approach closely combines the software training (DIALUX EVO/RELUX) with the basic lighting principles and LED knowledge taught, ensuring rapid training success for participants. The certificate can be upgraded to Certified Lighting Planner for Indoor Lighting or Certified Lighting Planner for Outdoor Lighting.

To receive the certificate, participants must submit a homework assignment (test questions/lighting planning) to the academy by mail within four weeks. This further reinforces their lighting knowledge.

Training duration:

3 days (20 lessons), no prerequisites, Online preparation materials for reading and viewing, including recommended further reading, will also be made available to course participants before the course begins.

Diploma:

Basic Certificate in Lighting Planning / Lighting Planner Associate
