This level 3 course is a sound further education in hands-on technical planning and relevant aspects of modern lighting design. This DACH certificate proves that you can handle and plan demanding lighting projects - for the sake of your company and your customers.

The Academy's DACH-I Certificate in Lighting Planning qualifies you as a professional lighting expert. The four course modules comprising this certificate are each offered at various locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as well as Live-.Webinars.
The focus of this advanced training is the combination of technical, regulatory, economic, and design topics with solid planning expertise, especially in computer-based planning. We cover interior and exterior lighting (including street lighting) with equal emphasis. This ensures that you are confidently prepared for future challenges as a lighting designer. The program consists of four course components, which can be taken in-person or via distance learning:
Basic certificate for indoor lighting
Day 1: Lighting technology, lighting & (O)LED
Day 2: Interior design & standards, DIALUX EVO/Relux
Day 3: DIALUX EVO/Relux Indoor
Advanced certificate interior lighting
Day 4: DIALUX EVO Advanced Indoor
Day 5: DIALUX EVO Advanced, control of lighting systems
Day 6: Lighting design and design techniques
Both interior lighting course blocks can also be completed compactly, i.e. within one week from Monday to Friday (1 week). They are identical in content to the course Certified lighting designer interior lighting .
Basic certificate for outdoor lighting
Day 7: Technology, Standards, LED & Roads
Day 8: Design outdoor lighting, DIALUX EVO Outdoor
Day 9: DIALUX EVO Outdoor
Advanced certificate for outdoor lighting
Day 10: DIALUX EVO Advanced Outdoor
Day 11: DIALUX EVO Advanced Control of Lighting Systems
Day 12: Master plans, facades/squares/greening
Both outdoor lighting course blocks can also be completed compactly, i.e. within one week from Monday to Friday (1 week). They are identical in content to the course Certified lighting designer for outdoor lighting .
In principle, the two outdoor lighting modules can also be visited before the indoor lighting modules.
Ttraining duration:
12 days or 2 x 1 week (Mon-Fri, 80 teaching hours) within a maximum of 18 months. Online preparatory materials for reading and review, including recommended further reading, will also be made available to course participants before the course begins.

Weekly Live Webinar Outdoor Course Series, Basic + Advanced (English)
Schedule: 7 course sessions, 2 pm – 6.30 pm CEST
Course days: alternating Mondays and Wednesdays
Starting from 05. April 2027
Target groups:
future lighting designers, engineers, electrical engineers, architects,
Facility managers with a focus on lighting, employees of lighting companies and energy suppliers.
A B2 level is required to participate in the German course program.
Diploma:
Certified Lighting Designer / Specialist Planner for Lighting (LPA), see also Certificate structures
To receive the certificate, participants must submit one homework assignment each for indoor and outdoor lighting to the academy (test questions/lighting planning). This demonstrates their level of knowledge and further deepens their lighting knowledge.
Course fee:
12-day course track: 4695.00 EUR (5,400 CHF in Zurich) VAT
including catering, LightBOOSTER 2.0 software, Dialux EVO/Relux, pCON Planner and Sketchbook.
9-day course track: 3895.00 EUR (4,300 CHF in Zurich) VAT
Omission of a basic block: Only possible for people with previous knowledge (LED knowledge lighting technology knowledge, initial planning experience with DIALUX EVO).
